Photo-A-Day #386 04/29/06 Bonus Picture – Christopher Williams

Posted by BenSpark on April 30, 2006

Allison and I went to see Christopher Williams at the Mt. Zion Christian School in Bedford, NH. He opened for Jars of Clay.

It was great to see Christopher with the energy of a huge crowd around him. He was awesome tonight. So many great songs and one new one that was fantastic and so moving. He certainly knows how to write meaningful beautiful songs. If you have never seen him go out and see him when he is playing in your area.

I took a bunch of pictures from this show. Check em Out.

Photo-A-Day #386 04/29/06

I don’t think Tara is getting this camera back. I’ve had so much fun taking pictures with it. The detail is fantastic.

Today we hung out with Dan and Marcia, did some yardwork and got out the garden decorations. This is a birdhouse roof. I got tons of pictures of the cats too but I uploaded them to Flickr. I’ve just posted way too many cat photos as of late. However with Tar’s camera I can capture way better actions shots like Bonnie and Clyde jumping a couple feet in the air.

Check out the other photos here.

Photo-A-Day #385 (Alpha) 04/28/06

Antje Duvekot had her CD release party (tonight) last night at the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square. Allison got us tickets for my birthday. It was a concert for Antje’s CD release Big Dream Boulevard and she opened for Ellis Paul. Ellis had Don Conoscenti, Flynn and another guy whose name I cannot accurately remember. It was funny because it was the most unpronounceable cast of characters last evening.

The show was fantastic. It was so awesome to see Antje and her band which included Austin Nevins.

Allison and I had dinner at Not Your Average Joes in Arlington and then took the T to Davis Square. It was quick and painless for our in and out of the city. Dinner at Joes was very good, I got a great meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes and Allison had a teriyaki steak with a pineapple salsa, both were very good meals.

We had terrific seats at the concert and enjoyed the show thoroughly.

I borrowed my sister’s camera. It is a Nikon D70 Digital SLR Camera. Man, what an awesome camera. I’ll be posting the pictures from (tonight) last night in a few moments. I can’t wait to get myself one of these cameras. Oh and there will be more cat pictures later too because I can take photos of Bonnie and Clyde today.

Here are the rest of the pictures from the concert.

Here are some random shots of Allison and flowers that I took with the D70.

Made a fruit smoothie today with Strawberries, Raspberries, blueberries, yogurt, and orange juice. It came out pretty dang tasty. I was trying to catch the whirlpool that was forming in the blender.

Here are some bonus pictures.

The blender got a workout.

And a flower for Mother-In-Law

There’s nothing to it but to do it!

Posted by BenSpark on April 27, 2006

According to Andy from You’ll Have that, ‘There’s Nothing to it but to do it’ is his new motto. Wes Molebash has taken his characters down a road with this storyline and interwoven the story about this motto. I noticed right away that it was very much in the vein of a Seinfeld episode. Wes has a real talent and if you are not reading his stuff then you should. You should also order You’ll Have That: Vol 1 and come to Double Midnight Comics on July 8th to get your copy signed.

Speaking of Andy’s motto, that is what the book Getting Things Done boils down to. Taking that next action step toward becoming productive. I finished Getting Things Done yesterday and have begun to implement some of the practices already. I’ve also handed the book off to Peter. So I’m trying to recruit more folks who believe that ‘There’s nothing to it but to do it!” Thanks Wes and Thanks David Allen.

I’m feeling so productive that I may try and get Oliver into a hat with some pink lemonade. (See Andy’s comments about yesterday’s photo-a-day.)

My new addiction. Dungeon Siege II. I love this game just as I loved the origina Dungeon Siege. The Bard’s Tale I finished about a month or so ago, it was pretty fun. It was much better for dialogue and whatnot but action is so much better on Dungeon Siege II.

Oliver, again.

Not much to say today.

Except, why does the waitress ask me if Pink Lemonade is okay if I ask for Lemonade? I mean it isn’t like there is a difference between Lemonade and Pink Lemonade except for the color. It’s not like this is Coke and Pepsi we’re talking about here. There is no hidden taste test between Lemonade and Pink Lemonade. I just don’t understand the need for the question.

What is your Japanese Name?

A friend of mine posted this on myspace.

A-ka * B-zu * C-mi * D-te * E-ku * F-lu * G-ji
H-ri * I-ki * J-zu * K-me * L-ta * M-rin * N-to
O-mo * P-no * Q-ke * R-shi * S-ari * T-chi
U-do * V-ru * W-mei * X-na * Y- fu * Z- zi

Take each letter of your name and substitute it with the Japanese sound to the right of the letter. Names might be kinda long.
